Am I the only one who likes the NPP just the way it is?

Burning Brakes
My wife and I normally dive with the stereo off just to listen to the long tubes, catless 3" X pipe blowing the obscene out of some B&B 4" bullet ovals.

M2w
My 07C6 did not come with NPP's, so I added it and of course I had to make it work, M2W was my only option and I've been happy ever since
And yes it turns heads!!
And YES I'm a Kid!!

I'm very pleased with the NPP as is and agree with the OP that it is an excellent compromise.
My C3 has Flowmasters and has a very nice tone, but the NPP is a better all purpose system.

I know installing the M2W NPP switch is all the rage. A very clever idea and well executed, I agree.
Personally, I just can't see the need for it. Coming off a set of Corsa Sports, I find it very relaxing to not have the exhaust blaring loudly when cruising. I know you can do that with the M2W switch, but why would I want to?
For me, the NPP is a perfect exhaust system. It's subdued when cruising on the highway or through local streets, and roars at WOT or 3500rpm+. My wife, who hated the Corsas, loves this system. I liked my Corsas, but I have to admit that the NPP is a perfect solution to the "mild versus wild" debate.
Am I the only NPP owner out there who doesn't feel the slightest need to modify this system? I think, certainly for my needs, that GM really got this one right.

Back in the early days of hot rodding, when tube headers were a rarity, we installed "dump tubes" in the header pipes. They were great except that you had to reach under the car with a box wrench in order to open/close them. Very inconvenient(and hard on your clothes).
Fast forward 50 years, and we have a system that allows us to open/close the exhaust system by pushing a button. The best of both worlds. Who could not like the convenience of being able to control your exhaust with the push of a button, moving or standing still?

Short answer?
NO. The dual mode exhaust is pretty good as is.
Although I am seriously considering the M2W.
Maybe I am just old

I rarely close mine. Coming home from Atlantic City this past weekend I closed them after 3 hours of a 6 hr ride. The drone started to wear on me, but I still prefer to listen to them open 90% of the time.

my mild 2 wild is on order. i think the npp is fine but a little to quiet at idle. i had corsa sports on my 07 and corsas on my 98 i think they were the "indy" corsas not sure but they were LOUD. one question about the mild to wild. do i have to worry about battery drain especially when i store it for the winter? i have it stored in a heated underground garage and usually leave it as is without a battery tender and it starts up every time. i am very happy with the npp on my new gs though. it was alot cheaper option then buying corsas even though i still always wished i had purchased the corsa extreme instead of sports for my 07.

The Corsa "Sport" is a much better option and it doesn't DRONE like the NPP in "open" mode. They save weight and add more HP and look better for about the same price. My friend just added the "Sports" to her new coupe and it's awesome.

Al,
Once you install the $25.00 "collars" they will allow you to vary the mild setting from stock all the way to wild full time with a simple Allen wrench adjustment [look at my post # 39 on this thread].
Also, I believe the battery drain is negligible if you shut down the car in the wild mode setting in the fall.
We will need to get together to compare our new GS Vettes, then you can hear my NPP collars in action!
