HUD Installation Guide now available.
I just wanted to let you guys know that I've completed the first revision of my HUD installation guide. It's a pdf that's about 4 MB. I can email it to anyone who wants it. If anyone out there would like to host it, that is fine as well. You can PM me or email me at soulbounder "at" yahoo.com (I don't care too much about spam on this account but please don't sign me up for crazy things. )
Thanks to those who sold me the HUD parts and have answered my questions along the way.
Grab the guide here:

All I can say is WOW and thanks. Even though I have completed my install before receiving this, I gotta say, very well documented. I, uh, have a 7mm bolt left and now I think I know where it goes now. I hope you had an extra hand taking the pictures. Super job and I know this will benefit many HUD installs to come. As a note, I agree with all the sharp edges and my hands were chopped pretty good. I did not remove the steering wheel but I did wrap it with a towel to protect the wheels itself. Other than that, you are on the money. This should be a HUD sticky once someone volunteers to host the file. It will answer a lot of question especially at midnight in the middle of the install. Ask me how I know that one. Thanks again.

Update: I have a Revision 2 available. It just mentions that you do not have to remove the dash completely and can avoid removing the steering wheel if you leave the dash in the car.
Thanks for the kind words Jim. You and David (GMAutotech) have both confirmed that the steering wheel doesn't have to be removed so I've updated the guide.

I think I can say on behalf of all Corvette Forum members...thanks for your efforts. When your DIY gets hosted (or perhaps the CF can do it) it should be included in the C6 FAQ's database.
I'm sending a PM. Even though I have a factory installed HUD, your DIY is a valuable resource to have. Thanks again for your all your effort!

I believe your email address keeps bouncing everytime (young**@comcast.net) I send the file. Do you have an alternate one?
Someone has already offered to host the file. I've sent it to them and I soon as I get the link I'll post it back here.
