Default Hurst style shift ****

I recently purchased a Hurst style shift **** that fits on to the stock shifter stem. I love it. Was at Carlisle this weekend and had many inquiries of where I got it. Being an old fart with bad memory, I forgot so I could not supply this information. Help! Thanx Rad

Rad, I didn't see your car at Carlisle this past weekend (so I'm assuming that you mean the "sideways pistol-grip" shaped Hurst ****), but I am also interested where one could find the old Hurst style ****. I'm even more curious though, with the shank and set-screw approach necessary for the Z06 shifter, how would the Hurst **** attach? I don't recall them having a shank to put a set screw in.

That would be Ed at Pipedreams:

I got one in white (nastalgic) from Ed and absolutely love it! Shifts are much easier than with the OEM **** for some reason.

Well I guess it isn't the type I was thinking of.

I have had mine on for a few months. It has a shank that you use the same set screw that comes on the original shifter. It lowers the height about 2 inches making the shift throws shorter. It is great. It fits your hand much better than the stock shifter. It is a great add-on.

Or you can do like I did. I bought the original Hurst T handle, drilled and tapped it and put it on my threaded Calloway short shifter. Great for speed shifting.
