Default What is the warranty on the '08s?

When I was buying the car, the finance girl was trying to sell me the extended warranty and kept saying that it was a 3 year 36k mile warranty which seemed like the norm. But reading around here it seems as though it should be longer. What is the warranty supposed to be on these things?

its 3/36 on everything that can break ( hud, radio, nav) and 5/100K on the powertrain.

Best bet is to wait on the GM Major Guard extended warranty until you're just before 3 months prior to the 36 month warranty expiring (assuming you don't put 36,000 miles on it that quick). That way you can take advantage of extending the time, because if you get the 60 month warranty, it's 60 months from the date you take delivery of your vehicle, not 60 months after the warranty expires.

Every October there is a price increase on the GMPP so it may pay to buy it now as opposed to later.

Also, if you buy it right before the warranty expires, it also cost's more becuase the time and/or the mileage is closer to the end of the warranty.

PM me if you want a little guidance with the pricing.

I had my F & I guy price one for 24 months for a 17k mile Z06 owner who has 4 mos left on the warranty and with no deductible it was surprisingly inexpensive.
