my stock batteries in my c4, c5z, and c6z have all been great. the only car i ever put a different battery in was my c5z and only because i figured it was time. the stock one was still fine. i went with a red top and it died within a week. got another and it was fine while i had it, but i believe the guy i sold the car to had it die after a few months. i'll never buy a red top again.

Time to lose that 06 Vette! There are plenty of C6 Vette's out there that don't go through the batteries.
That aside, there is a DBS computer update at the dealership that might help you out with the battery-certainly can't hurt to ask them.

Speaking from personal experience since I work at a Chevy dealer, you may encounter problems with the dealer doing anything under warranty for a power drain since you have an aftermarket battery in it.
GM warranties batteries during the 3/36k warranty. You could have gotten a new battery for free at the dealer rather than install an optima, which BTW, I've heard more negative things than positives. Most of which refer to not holding a charge very well.
Good luck.
