How did you purchase your C6?
#21
Was looking at new 07s when I saw one used in the color I wanted (AW) with Z51 and MZ6 and only 5k. Figured if someone was willing to take the depreciation hit for me, why not?

Saw Lance Miller's black Callaway C6 at Carlisle in Aug. 2004. I knew it was time to stop dumping cash into the '70 and finance a new 2005. Got a suppler discount from Hendrick (Performance Chevy, Chapel Hill, NC) when no discounts were being offered on verts. Ordered in Nov, built in April, watched it being built (thanks to Kevin) and picked it up later with NCM delivery. Awesome experience and hope to do it with my next Vette. Financed it with GMPP rolled in......soon to be done with sheet eatin grin payments.

I would have gone with the 0% too but it was not available. Anytime you can use their money ... do it!
I used my GM credit card rebate and paid cash. I felt real good about the deal I made with Tommy Jr.

Saw it on Sunday, purchased Monday after work.
Got excellent trade in on my 2002 F150 which was mint. Gave them a small pile of cash to go with that, and then financed the 1/2 remaining. I miss my truck, but I love my Vette.

That is a very smart way to go. 5K is nothing. With so many people these days never happy unless they have the absolute latest, it gives people like you a great chance to take advantage and save $$. Something I will consider down the road if I ever choose to let mine go.

Anyway, dealer was smug about having sold the GT500 for 13K over MSRP to another dealer, so I said fine, I'll get the C6. He said, what is a C6? If you don't know your performance cars, how you gonna sell me yours? Now GT500's are easy to get, but I don't care for the pricing, especially with some of the low tech stuff as compared to the Vette. Love the removable top also. I'm loyal, so I'll be a Vette guy for life now

Purchased new, sold my 350Z, went to the dealer told them what I wanted, asked what deal they could give me, sounded good to me told them to order it. Put a chunk down and financed the balance.

why is there a selection for "none of your business"? is that for the people that get left out of a vote because they dont want to vote? If you dont want to tell people, then just dont vote.

Some people are asses. Since this is a public vote, I wanted to see who those asses were.

Couldn't justify (to myself) buying a brand new one and taking that loss as I drove if off the lot. Now, if the 0% financing had been offered then......

I found the best price from local dealers on the internet when I was working in Alaska. When I got home the next day I went to the dealer that had what I wanted and had the best price, drove it and paid cash for it. It took longer for the checks to clear than if I would of financed it.
