Default Best route from SC to PA?

I am flying to Columbia South Carolina Friday morning to pick up my vette and drive it home

Should I take 95 all the way up???

*but*

I am told 77 to 81 into PA is a better / more scenic drive. It is an hour longer but would avoid all the major cities along the way.

77 to 81 is WAY better. Less traffic, no big cities. Hey, you're in the Vette. Do you really need an excuse to drive it longer?

Yup, I agree as well 77 to 81 is much better to avoid all the congestion of Richmond, DC, Baltimore, Wilmington.

I drive this route 2 or 3 times a year. I77 is by far the best way and far more scenic.

Consider picking up the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville NC. It ends up in Shenandoah Nat'l Park west of Fredricksburg VA. You can jump over to 77 about 1/3 of the way, or 81 at 2/3's or at the end (400+ mi).

Forget California! Between the earthquakes, fires, mud slides ,weird people and highest of all gas prices, take I 77 to I 81! Plus you'll avoid the big cities where the Californians dwell when they come east.

It's all about the drive, not how fast you get there. It's about enjoying the new car!!!

Are you getting it from a dealer or private seller? Let me tell you...dress light as it is hot as fire down here right now. I-77 ends/begins in Columbia and is a straight shot north to I-81 in VA. I would agree with others to avoid I-95. The Blue Ridge parkway is a nice drive if you have the time but it is sort of out of the way when you will have a long drive back.

Good luck

This is definitely the way to go, and it's the most scenic.
