Default Earthquake in So Cal

We just had a 5.8 magnitude quake here in So Cal, the good news, the Corvette rode it out well and survived unscathed. The sport suspension and traction control must have really worked well, Thank god I got the Z-51 or I might not have been so lucky.

Not really funny, but I can't help but laugh at your Z51 comment.

Earthquake? Isn't that what you feel driving on our lousy roads? Hope everyone O.K. though.

Glad to hear you're ok. But you would've been fine with a Z06, ZR-1 or and F55 , too.

On a serious note, I do hope everyone is ok.

And to the light side again, stop exaggerating, Roger!!! CNN sez it's a 5.4 not 5.8!~!!

5.8 is not bad. I lived in San Diego for nine years, and the San Fran bay area for five. 5.8 quakes are exactly the kind I like. Yep

Sorry I missed it!

When I was watching headline news, they initially claimed 5.9, then 5.8, and now they say 5.4.

Anybody want to take a stab at what it will be in another 30 minutes?

It was centered in Chino Hills about 29 miles southeast of downtown LA. It was felt in San Diego and Las Vegas. They now say it was a 5.4. I was around for the Northridge earthquake, as a matter of fact I lived in Northridge at the time, so this was nothing new. There are no injuries, etc so that is good.

I lived in San Francisco for 50 years, many quakes,,, but I would hate to be in an 6.5 quake with my F55 in "sport",, I would think that "tour" would be a better choice.

Not to make too light of it but .... a washing machine fell off the back of a truck and a seismometer recorded it.

I stopped by one of our offices here in Chicago to download email (and check the CF of course) and saw an email from the head of security at my office in LA. All the heading said was, no elevators get under your desk. That's when I went to CNN to confirm there was an earthquake.

Good thing I'm in Chicago this week. Just called the wife, she was driving the Vette and didn't feel it. But my son was home. His room is on the 3rd story so he certainly felt it.
