Any One Get Surprised By Your Sales Guy
When you bought your vette, did your dealer/salesman have a nice gift on the seat when you picked it up? You know, he found out you liked a particular scotch, or a restaurant that you frequented, etc. They probably did it more in years gone by though. But still, a Corvette should warrant the same today, right?. How many would like a $100+ gift certificate toward a particular mod (wheels, tune, gears, etc.). Anyone get surprised with something really nice from your salesman?

They got the sale and a chance to earn another one from you. But really, anyone get something really cool for appreciation? Especially the "repeat offenders"?

Criswell Chevy did:)
Criswell Chevy sent me a bunch of cookies.....greats sales tactic. They were great people so I didn't mind the salesman sending cookies to my place of work...I would recommend them to any one in the DC area.

yes, but not spectacular
I received chocolate chip cookies mailed to me in a round tin that had Thank You stamped into the lid...it's the thought that counts.

I've bought most of my cars in the past 25 years through a broker. I appreciate the savings and service I get as opposed to a gift certificate at some restaurant. I'd rather say "thanks" and take him out to dinner.

Even though the dealers don't make any money, even with the deals on vettes, it's the litle extra token that might excite you. But, I understand that the bottom line is the important factor. Just thought some may have some stories of appreciation gifts.

I bought from a dealer outside the DFW Metroplex who always advertises the lowest Corvette prices anywhere. A real throwback dealership experience, complete with a small, 50's style showroom containing only 4 old Corvettes! Mr. L. himself is the lone salesperson. After the deal was closed, he gave me a dealership cap and an old silver dollar! Weeks later, I got the round tin of "Thank You" cookies. Say what you will, this is the ONLY time I have ever gotten anything worthwhile from a dealership, and yes, I'm simple enough to go back again because of they way I was treated and appreciated!

Although he didn't seem to make it very public, Rick Daniel used to send a very nice car cover and a $25 gift certificate for Mid-America. I wonder what Maxie will let him do now.

My Salesman gave me a $100.00 gift certificate to a very nice restaurant, quite a surprise and a touch of class.
