We just got back from a day trip to the Waimea Park & Falls. Do to lack of rain, there were no falls. But still a beautiful hike back to the falls area where we had a mango slushy to cool off before the hike back.

We are headed down to the Outrigger next.
Sorry but I probably missed you - Mango slushy, Mmmmm. Did not make it to Wacky Wacky tonight, wound up on the back lanai grillin out with buddies and enjoying a few cold ones.

Did pick a very fresh and sweet pineapple out of the back yard tonight and used in my (locally) famous Mai Tai's (my Mai Tai's have no fillers - no non-alcoholic liquids are used - only ice and the good stuff).

Enjoy your trip, dude.

No problem. I did see what looked like a Lemans Blue C6 cruise by us when we were waiting to get on the pink line trolley in front of the Hilton HV. Looked like it did not have plates.

Aloha.

THAT'S it, the Royal Hawaiian. Man, that was a nice place to stay, too. Maybe not quite the view as yours, Rich. Enjoy the stay!!!

Paul

p.s. Hilton Hawaiian Villiage if I don't miss my guess, right?
I was a Security Manager at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, that picture looks like it is from the Ilikai or Hawaii Prince Hotel.

Aloha Gary,

Rich did confirm in another post in this thread that it was in fact the HHV. The lagoon at the base of the photo in relation to the marina is what gave it away for me. Still countin' down, see you in November.

Paul and Gary, these should look familiar.

A view from breakfast.

I've seen that first one plenty of times. I have a photo with my wife right in front of there. I think that the second one is from the Nu'uanu Pali lookout.

Oops sorry never got that view as the whole area was under heavy construction when I was there. The lagoon was closed off and there was nothing but fencing in that area. There was no view at all, I felt sorry for the visitors who were never told of the construction going on.

That is one of many great picture locations on the HHV property.

Gary could be more specific, but I believe the Pali cliffs where that photo was taken was the battle ground where King Kamehameha won a decisive victory and united all the Islands of Hawaii. Paving the way for lots of great looking C6 Vettes in Hawaii.

And where the defeated forces that made it to the top (and were cornered) leapt to their deaths.

And you can see my house from there!

Kind of windy up there, huh?

Bummer about the multi-millionaire whose body was found at the bottom of the cliff this weekend. Lived close by here, lost his mind.

Party on!

Yes, it was very windy up there.

Really sad about the guy that died up there. They found his body the same day I took that picture. There was another sad death of a diver off the coast where I stayed. He was one of 4 divers helping sink an artificial reef. I watched the boats and aircraft searching for him the afternoon he disappeared. Sadly, they found his body about 11:00am the next day.
