It's Been Fun But Time To Say Goodbye

Life is too short for compromises.
Apples and oranges. I personally would have purchased the Bentley (if I really desired one), but I also would have kept the Corvette. Best of both worlds sort of speak.

Good luck with it!
Gotta get me some striped carpet mats.
GM should take some "interiors" lessons from some other makers and apply that knowledge to reasonable alternatives.

Congratulations on your new car; it certainly is beautiful.
I'm glad "you can afford the best." I'll just have to get by with my new '08 'Vette and that piece of crap '84 Porsche Carrera I still have.
You said not to mention you could have purchased 3 Z06's for the same price, so I won't, but you could have purchased a new 911 Turbo and something else, but, I understand how it is when you just have to have something and "you can afford the best".

That is a fine car and is temping. I admire the purchase.
As I have grown older and looked back I have often regretted selling earlier cars. With the wisdom of time, my vote would have been to keep both vehicles, After all, what's another $36,000 in the game of life?
And it's not even the 36,000, it's that amount less the residual sale value plus the loss of interest not earned and insurance cost. Maybe for three years out the cost would be $10,000?
Who could turn down a Vetter for that amount?

BTW, I'm another one who you will not get any grief from on the new Bently. The only thing standing between me and it is that I can't afford it!!!

A Word About Compromises
My answer is as follows:
Forty years ago I married a Cuban girl. In Spanish, "wife" translates to "esposa". Esposa also means "hand-cuffs". Need I say more?
Having her blessing to buy the Bentley, even if it meant kissing my sweetheart C6 goodbye was hardly a compromise, but one I gladly made.

A lot of comments about "why not keep the Vette?" And the title of your post was "Life's too short to make compromises."

Awesome ride, love the GTC, very classy and baller at the same time. Like someone said you live only once and bentley's are beautiful.
I hope this was a joke else i would question the logic behind your question.
paying cash is dumb esp in this market.

While I also question his logic, you should bear in mind that the US dollar might depreciate faster than the Conti!
