Default GM Chicklets

When did gM start putting the little GM chicklets (badges) on the vette?

Was it 2006 or 2007?

I thought it was 2007 but I just saw an '06 for sale with the badges on it.

I think they all should go...

I was with my buddy when he picked up his '07 and he had the dealer remove them on the spot.

It's a violation of the Corvette brand! We all know GM is the global grandaddy...no need to tattoo 'mom' on the bicep of vette's worldwide.

A very good friend of mine that I work with just bought a 2007 AO coupe. He and his wife took the Vette to the nursing home the other night to see her brother who is 68 years old, retired from GM as a Tool & Die Maker, and has a rare form of Parkinson Disease that is in the advanced stages. They convinced the nurses to let them take him outside in a wheelchair to see the Vette.

When my friend pointed down at those "damn chicklets", his brother-in-law saw the GM logo and started to cry. Said he was so proud to have worked for GM.

I have said before that those "damn chicklets" are a source of pride for GM employees. I will be leaving mine on.

Wish I could take credit for this funny....a guy/girl on CF had me rolling on the floor when I saw a Chicklet post several months ago. They said that when people go to restore the C6 that there will be a huge market on Ebay for those chicklets because they were "original equipment".

Why do you think some forum members are buying them up? It will happen in 20-30 years and everyone will be wishing they had kept them. Even if you take them off, save them!

I'm going to put them on my 05. Then I can tell everyone it's an 06!
