wow. He spanked that car. What impressed me most was
the acceleration from around 70 mph to 130 mph, how fast
the meter spun up. Astounding.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like the driver had a blast. I heard somewhere that he was a GM test driver, does anyone know for sure what his qualifications are? Looks like his line was a little wide in some corners, however, it is a very tough track on street tires! Really enjoyed it.

178 on the final straight is actually pretty good as the straight is actually all up hill, although it doesn't look like it.There are a couple places he could have shaved off a few .10s. I bet a pro driver could get into the 7:25s or maybe a bit less easily.

I would say that is a little more than a rolling start...But if GM didn't they wouldn't have beaten the time. But hey, Nissan did a flying start, so it is all even in the long run....Chevy wins..............again!

Yes, Tadge said they used it because that is what the competition is now doing. That was not hidden when the times were announced.

That was the best 7and half mins I've had in awhile too, minus the dancing girls...I liked seeing the speedo at 178, I got a little excited. Once again Chevy does us proud.

Thanks for the link. It's amazing how accurate the XBox PG4 race game is to the actual track. It's like I know it already. Ah...maybe one day for real.

Thanks for sharing the link!

The info on Vettetube indicates the driver is GM development engineer Jim Mero. What a job!
