Yeah, well 1/4 mile may be no more. Word is they are talking about reducing it to 1000 ft due to Scott Kalittas accident. Knee jerk reaction if you ask me.
Not to hijack thread but reducing to 1000ft would apply only to top fuel dragsters and funny cars, so far. Personally I think that all the older tracks need to have shut down lanes lenghten to match shut down lanes as long as newer tracks. BTW get some practice launches in to take him off the line.
We spoke today, and we've decided to take this to a 1/4 mile track!!

You will beat him without much trouble. I easily beat a friends GT500 the 6 times I've run against him. I do have headers and an A6, but it isn't even close. The day I ran low 12's (12.033) he ran 12.78. I ran consistently (12.033, 12.034, 12.040) he only broke 13 seconds that one run.
Don't try too hard or you'll spin, leave the line at 1200 rpm and let it bog. Also, leave on the last yellow light, don't wait for the green.
