Thats just awful. I have owned 20 corvettes over the years and never had one maliciously damaged. I just purchased a new 08 Chrysler minivan and within 3 months its been hit twice both hit and run. Go figure. Maybe someone just hit it somehow?

An apology to those remembering I've mentioned this before----but I had all my windows smashed out and bed side crowbarred on my new Z-71 while traveling (motel parking lot). I've often strongly suspected that my out of state Air Force Veteran license plate contributed to me being singled out.
Sorry about your Vette----hang in there though. She'll be good as new in no time.

My husband got his Vette keyed too a while back. Had the whole thing repainted and I must say it looks sharp. May not seem like it now but there is an eventual upside to this. Sorry to hear about it though. My husband was upset when he saw his so we can relate.

Oh they can fix that right up and nobody will ever know. Sorry about your experience though that does suck to come out and see that all of a sudden. Too bad you couldn't catch the little bastage in the act.

Sorry to see that happen to you. I'm sure it was the FOP plate and jealousy that you have a nice car. I wouldn't assume it was a kid. Seems more like an adult with a grudge. Regardless, he/she can't stand someone who has what they want. Hope you get it fixed up perfect and nothing like this ever happens again. The best to you.

But you should be able to figure out that some people don't like police even by this website (Screw the LEO, he gave me a ticket for doing 90 in a 75 is one example).
Personally I don't put any stickers or plates on my car that show what I support or believe. The only ones I have on my car is the Corvette Club of Utah and the National Corvette Museum. But if they can't figure out that I like Corvettes already then they to go back to kindergarten.
I find it a disgrace that people can't keep their hands off everyone's possessions. Some people were just never taught being respectful to others property.

Flash back to 1975 & my friends lacquer black 1965 Vette was parked at Denny’s for our early breakfast meeting. We came out to find “Neat Car” keyed into driver door & rear quarter. All the way down to the primer. Guess the world hasn’t changed much & as the economy gets worse, jealousy will increase. Be fun to catch someone doing it, with no video cams around.

Why would anyone do that? Even if you owned a Radio Flyer red Wagon I can't understand why people would do that...
I missed the boat when it comes to keying cars.

Sorry to hear about your car being keyed, a good body shop should be able to make it look like new
My buddy, a local police officer, said not to put stickers showing any kind of support to law officer organizations. He said it was a definite target and the people that commit the crimes think it is cool that they can get away with the crime, just because that sticker is on the car. He said even officers that live at apartment complex's have to use a garage, because they were having problems with punks breaking into cars parked right next to the patrol cars. He also told me to just keep the stickers in the glove box, near the insurance, so that if you ever do get pulled over the police officer will see the stickers when you're pulling out your insurance, etc.
Again, sorry to hear it happened, but from experience....it can be fixed

Same here. I'm very sad to say that I cannot leave my Vette out of sight or unattended even for a small amount of time. If I didn't enjoy the car so much, I'd sell it just because of the hassle.
