Default Spent the day with my Mom today...

for the first fifteen minutes, she complained that it was too hot, that the windows needed to be rolled up all the way because her hair was being "blown to bits," that I was driving too fast (I honestly was NOT, lol), and that the car was too hard to get in and out of...Then she commented on the music I was listening to...

All of this was par for the course, but then she wanted to make a pitstop at starbucks for iced coffee...

As we're walking out, I go to get the door for her, and she stumbles, tossing her iced mocha forward and right onto my rear window, where it explodes and spills coffee all over the rear glass, trunk lid, and rear fender!! I ran into the starbucks, where everyone had apparently seen the occurance and was now laughing, grabbed some napkins, and tried to dry it off, but because it was so hot out, the coffee somehow instant-bonded to the paint

So I had to drive her back to her house with a huge brown stain all over the rear of my car.

Definitely one for the books

Maybe the next time you spend the day with mom, you should consider using her car or renting one!

Maybe your Mom is trying to tell you she doesn't like you!

Treasure the day and smile about it, you are fortunate to have your Mom to share some days with you.

I also agree, mine died when I was six, after being in the hospital for over 18 months and multiple surgery's. Count your blessings!

Nice story!

I remember reading on my rx8club forum when someones RX8 was parked in the garage...mom decided to try and get a can of paint from an elevated area..needless to say she dropped it right on the hood of the car...the can opened up...green paint flew everywhere.

Funny story! Good thing is washes off. I wouldn't sweat it. I think trying to dry it up with napkins probably did more damage to the paint than the coffee

At least the iced coffee never made it inside the car- that would have been a mess of a different magnitude....

My parents are the same way, they love my Vette until one of them has to ride in it.

Funny. My Mom is coming down from Pittsburgh to see the car for the first time.

She won't ride in it, I'm sure. But my Stepdad will.

And your day with mom was unusual, how? Moms - you gotta love em.

Seriously .... I lost my mom 5 years ago. She would have loved the new Vette. I just wish I could take her for a ride...what a sweet thought. I miss her. She was one cool lady.

My car has low miles on it and some may say it is a queen and it sort of is! But I drive it in the rain and I park it in lots when I need to.......but NEVER is there food or drink in the car!
