Default Exotic Vetts Insulation Kit A++++

I have an 08 C6 Z51 with the NPP performance exaust etc. While I loved the car I thought it had a bit too much road noise. I ordered the full insulation kit from Dan at Exotic. I had the Chevrolet dealers body shop install mine for the very reasonable price of $165.00 and that was with tax included.

It took their guy 4 hours to do it as this was his first time to do a kit and he had little for instructions as my puter didnt print everything Exotic sent me. All I can say is WOW!. This insulation kit really works and the AC seems to really freeze me out now. It helps with the heat from underneath as well, coming from around the center consoul etc. It is well worth it guys. My car is black with a two tone interior and they didnt put a scratch in it anywhere. Would do the kit again for sure.

Another Exotic Vette item is the partition. It fits in with no modifications and works great. It helps with noise and makes the rear speakers sound better. It makes a nice little storage area also.

I've noticed that heat coming from the center counsel/floor area. I thought the heat was on actually, but it wasn't.

I ordered the kit last year, and its amazing how quiet it keeps the car. Not to mention how well it keeps the heat out. Truly worth the money!

I ordered a complete kit for my car, plus the partition (in the Cashmere color to match my "front" carpeting) and I agree with the OP's opinion. While I have not had time to install the insulation kit because my buddy bought one for his car and we installed that first, then the holiday's hit (and I'm 1500 miles from home) everything fit perfectly and really quieted the car down. We can't give an opinion on the heat factor yet as it's 18 degrees back home, but I'm sure the heat will down as much as the noise was. Also, I was very pleased with the "care" Dan gave to both of us on our orders, and made sure our satisfaction was on the top of his list...he is the kind of vendor I will buy from again!!

I agree. I can't tell you how many times people thought it was factory installed including my wife.

I'm going to eventually buy the insulation also. My joints are crap and it is hard to work with smaller objects so I'll probably just find someone to install it.+

Concur. Both the partition and the insulation kit are first rate ... they were among my first mods and two years later I am still very pleased with both. Its really not that hard to install the insulation kit (took a few hours, but I am pretty familiar with taking Vette interiors apart, unfortunately).

Sounds like a very nice product. Has anyone measured the over-the-road decibels in a C6 coupe before and after installation? Some other posts on sound insulation have done this, with impressive results, but those were not pre-cut kits, so were lots more time-consuming to install.
