Default Why does he want me to drive?

Just curious, but does any other wifes not drive their hubby's vette? He tells me to drive it all the time, but I truly don't have the desire to. Shh, I don't even drive my own toy, a heavily modded fox stang, that much. I stay in my DD most of the time. Don't get me wrong the vette is a beauty, but I bought it for him, not for me.

My wife says it's just a car and she has no desire to drive it. She says she loves her car and she will stick with it.

My wife has driven my C6 twice, the C5 I used to have once, and doesn't even like to ride in my C3 let alone drive it

My wife loves my Z. I imagine he wants to share the enjoyment

My wife wanted the Corvette. We have had two of them now and she has driven the present on perhaps twice.

BY the way, that is just fine by me.

Well, not to take anything away from the vette, but when its all said and done...it is just a car, but I just think he wants to see me row the gears. He thinks its so sexy to see women rowing the gears in sports cars.

My wife drove my 93 Vette once and did not like it (couldn't see the front of the car over the nose). She never drove my 01 Z06, as she didn't know how to drive a standard transmission. With my 08 Vette, I am going to surprise her tonight by letting her drive us to dinner. She has asked to drive it, but wants me in the car with her, so this is a great chance for that. As for my "old car", she picked right up on driving the 07 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T that is now her car. She loves that one...especially with the Corsa exhaust.

The funny thing is...he would rather I drive the vette and he drive the stang, simply because the stang is much faster.

Sounds like some work needs to be done to the Corvette, then.

8 months and 1,500 miles (put up for the winter) and she has never driven it......says she is "just fine" in the passenger seat and enjoys the 'ride' too much to drive....I've asked numerous times for her to drive..........

My wife could care less about driving my Vette. It's just something that doesn't interest her. Plus she can't drive a manual.

I know he wants to jump on the mod wagon, and I must admit I would too, but we agreed that we wouldn't do that to this car. I had to at least put some Corsa sports on though, but that's where it ends.

The wife and I just had this conversation last night. She wants to drive the car, but can't it's a 6speed. So far I have put her off for 10 months to teach her how to drive it.

I think I would be kinda antsy teaching her in the vette.

My wife used to drive the '04 (auto) once in a while but she just doesn't have the passion for the stick. She likes the power though and that's why she drives a CLK550. That is a pretty quick car too.

My wife drives our Vette whenever she can. We have the A6 tranny, not because she has any problem shifting a manual but because she has to keep the seat too close to the steering wheel when using a clutch.

My wife can't drive stick so she can't drive any of my "toys". I have tried to get her to learn but she refuses. I guess it's probably better that we have some different interests.

My fiancee would rather I drive my car AND her car when we go somewhere.
