Corvette duffel bag...
Hey All;
I am looking for a soft sided (duffel) bag to use in general but especially for the ride home from my Museum delivery. It would be a bag that I can use as a carry on for the flight and then something that I could fit under the top stored in the back of a coupe.
I see the NCM has some in 24" and I have seen 28", (more my size) of the same bag elsewhere.
What do you guys prefer for soft sided luggage for the back of a coupe?
I looked on the forum store and they only had the 24" as well.
Can anyone recommend a forum vendor that would have the 28" duffel?
Thanks...

Got a price range in mind? If you are only going to use it for this trip and then on occassion after that, I wouldn't want to spend alot of money on a bag that says Corvette on it.
28" duffel bag from Walmart. $17.43

You can probably purchase something like that at most any sporting good or major chain store and save yourself a buck.
Personnally, we have gone with several smaller bags, gives us more latitude in packing.

When I had gone cross country I used several soft bags that were 20" long by 10" X 10". This is the magic size for a travel bag for a coupe in my opinion. You can get three of these under a stowed roof top and two in front of the stowed roof top... thus you should be able to get five of these sized bags into the back of a coupe along WITH the stowed top. I got four into my coupe PLUS two motorcycle helmets PLUS extra hiking boots etc... and stowed roof top. If I hadn't had the helmets etc, I would have packed five of the bags.
Link below... this particular bag from WCC appears to be of the "magic size"... and looks sharp, has the Vette logo, etc.... nice.

If you got two 20"X10"X10" bags for your museum trip, you'd be totally set. Not sure if the airline will allow two carry-ons though...
A single 28"X10"X10" might fit under the roof top "sideways", but not sure if the 28" long bags are 10"X10"... but I suppose even if larger, as long as the bag is SOFT and you do not stuff it to the point where it's about to burst, it should compress down and fit under the roof top.
Or just use a knapsack or whatever and keep it on the passenger seat (on a towel) or on the floor.

Your welcome, I know it's tough to make a choice on a product without having it in your hands. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
