Any guesses as to the upcoming 09 price increase
There is always a hefty increase on a new model year at the beginning... Anybody have some inside scoop on the approximate increase? May 22 is getting CLOSE>
I just printed out what I want. from Edmunds.com 2008 prices
$57,490 Msrp $50,860 Invoice I offered my dealer 1000 dollars over the actual 09 invoice as I think that is fair. The sales manager accepted instantly. Seems like a nice discount from the list price...
They showed me the invoice on a 08 in stock and it agreed with Edmunds. So far so Good! Wish me luck...
Andy The Group Cyber Geezer GURU. well maybe not the guru part...... thanks girls and guys for a nice welcome back!

Pure guess? 1.5-2%. They would like more, as their costs have gone up more, but on the other hand they're having trouble moving them at the price they're at now. I look for a moderate initial increase, but more increases throughout the model year as the economy, and sales, recover.
I used 2% when figuring the likely cost for my '09.

When I purchased my LS3 08 C6 Z51 Coupe; I too offered $1000 over invoice and it was accepted immediatley by the sales manager.
Perhaps I could have done better, but I was very happy to get everything I wanted at what I thought was a fair price.

Are forum dealers taking orders now?
It is end of May when they can submit them, correct?
Thanks...

Thank you Talon and everybody!
I prayed at our local St. Jude stature in New Orleans often for him to help my sick wife. My prayers were answered!
Good headsup on the coming price increaSE. Should be moderate I hope... Sales are terrible. Never in my life do I remember rebates on a Vette. Their sales were always restricted their was so much demand.
Now every dealer I visit tries to handcuff me if I don't buy.
Banner has my order. 1000 over invoice. and 100 over GM Major Guard Extended warrany invoice price. Does anybody know what the max Major Guard sells for to the dealers. Maybe I need to call Ken Fichtner.
Is he still active on the Forum.. He was our first maybe supporting Dealer. GM would slap his hand all the time from the good scoop he always gave us TOO EARLY! tnks Ken, You are still the MAN!

Seems fair as I go there everyday and eat up their time. But never when a customer approaches. They actually look forward to my visits.
Yesterday I was able to pull my salesman,, (another Andy) out of a boring sales meeting!
