Black '08 with swirls

Any good quaility non-cleaner product will do-several high end brands are Adams, Rejex, Zaino, but the bottom line is the application and removal of the dried product dictates whether swirls happen.

Make sure you wash your car good, wipe down with a microfiber towel and then I love and will stand by Rejex. I recently had my car next to an 07 Black C6 and what a difference in shine.
There is nothing nicer then a highly polished Black Vette.

as I underdtand it, if you use rejex you cannot use any other product (wax, polish etc.) is this correct? My only problem with this is kind of stupid...i enjoy waxing the car every week or two.

I have been a Zaino fan forever but I tried a coat of Rejex this weekend after a wash with Dawn. It looks at least as good as Zaino if not better but.... I don't have black which does really show off a good shine.

Get the Griot orbital buffer and the cleaner and wax that comes with the package. I never trusted a buffer until I bought a 07 black ZR-1 Tahoe. I somehow swirled it and was just sick. I read up on the Griot unit and tried it out. Beautiful! I am getting a new 08 coupe museum delivery next Monday, black, and will use the buffer on it as soon as I get it home to Southern CA.

I'm thinking of trying 3M
Has anyone used 3M products. I saw an advertisement for the 3M swirll/scratch remover. Looks good and easy with or without a machine polisher.

The first step to no swirls is proper washing technique. You might want to go to the car care section and do some reading there.

NEVER wash or dry in circular motions. Always use back and forth, straight strokes. Doing this will eliminate the possibility swirl marks, which really show on a black car.
And for God's sake never take it through a car wash.
Also, wash your wheels first and don't use the mitt, MF towels or that bucket of water on the rest of the car. I have a complete set of: bucket, mitt and towels that I only use on the wheels.
