Extreme stealth radar detector installed.
I love stealth, hidden installations, no wiring etc etc. I had previously done this mod to my Harley, and thought why not to the vette.
I basically took an Escort SRx dismounted the LED screen, extended it and mounted only the LED screen inside the cluster. The rest of the unit is mounted in the driver footwell, tucked away neatly. There is a rear laser/radar unit on my rear license plate, a front radar/laser unit behind the front grille, and I will install the lazer shifters next weekend.
There is also a volume/mute button mounted right next to my ignition switch for easy access.
I apologize for the extremely crappy pics.

and the pics aren't that bad.
You should do a step by step DIY with pics so the rest of us can try it.
Who knows? You may even make it to the supreme status of "Sticky".

Like what you did there! I have the SR7 system as well, but I lack your installation talent! I just placed mine under the rear view mirror:
The laser shifters I just placed on the far sides of the upper part of the grill area, since they blend OK with black. Would need a better idea with a different color, but unlike the radar detector the shifters have to have a clear view of the road.
The shifters have paid for themselves twice over. It's the sparingly used instant on radar that poses the biggest threat. No system beats common sense and awareness of your surroundings.

But while the laser jammers may be in the correct position, it seems like the *radar* units are too low for best efficiency. The test reports I've read all say that radar sensors need to be mounted high to clear the traffic around you.
