(UK3) Steering wheel-mount audio controls are now standard on all models...Nice but hope GM doesn’t use it as an excuse to raise prices again. 3 price increases in 2008 is enough for a while.

(1YY87) ZR1 - highlights include (LS9) engine, (F55) Magnetic
Selective Ride Control
, (FE5) ZR1 Performance Package,

I wonder if the "chrome surround badging" refers to the front and rear (+waterfall in vert) crossed flags emblems themselves (vs. the silver painted surround presently used since '05)????

That would probably look pretty good (limited chrome).

Don't they re-use RPOs to mean different things on different cars? For example, the Z51 I think first appeared on the C3. So it could still be F55 but use antigravity lasers to make the car hover...

Thank goodness I didn't wait! The only thing on that list I'm possibly interested in is the chrome badges....maybe.

Buying a 2008 is still open for another couple weeks if you don't like the new choices or paying a few thousand more $$$.

I hope they lay in a huge quantity of spares so 05-08 owners can retrofit. That's my next mod for sure.

I'm curious about the variable ratio steering, since I felt that was the only downer on my test drive of an 08. I felt it was a tad vague and overboosted, particularly at slow speed. I understand that it may need to be, given the tires, but I'd still like it to be firmed up just a bit. Regardless, I have no question that I'll be used to it quickly.

I'm also curious about the active handling/traction upgrades. I wonder how extensive the hardware upgrades are, and if the software upgrades can be applied to earlier car?

As for steering wheel audio controls: I love em in my current daily driver, but I don't have them in my current weekend toy (02 Mazda Miata with an aftermarket turbo). In a car like the Vette, where everything falls close to hand anyway, I think they're somewhat redundant. Nice to have, but I wouldn't pay extra for them... which is why I'm ordering a 08 with 2LT

These are significant:

Variable ratio now on power steering

Updated traction control and active handling hardware and software
