Backup camera in a Corvette!!!!

I have a back up camera hooked up to my Pioneer Z2. I am not too sure about the stock nav unit though. The Z2 is just incredible when it comes to features. It far surpasses any of the expectations that I had for it. If it were gonna cost me 600 to upgrade the stock unit, then I would pull it and opt for a D3 or Z2.

[QUOTE=Coachman;1565882772]Installed this BOYO VTL 420 camera along with the Kenwood DNX 8120. Don't know if it can be done using the stock Nav head unit. The little squigglies in the photo are from my camera and NOT from the BOYO. The backup picture is perfectly clear.
That's really a nice setup. It appears that under normal circumstances, you can barely see the camera lens unless you're actually looking for it. The backup cameras in my LS430 and Denali really have me spoiled. I can't see anything when backing up in my vert with the top up.

Buy the laser pro park!!!! Not only does it block all LEO's lasers guns, it also works as a parking sensor. Why not have your cake and eat it 2.

The only things that you will learn on this forum are:
1. That somebody will say that they have a backup camera installed that works with their factory navigation head unit but have no clue how it works; and/or
2. Others will go on and on about how they have a backup camera that works with an aftermarket head unit that was designed for it it the first place, why not tear yours out and get a different brand; and/or
3. Still others will babble endlessly about how they have seen a cool backup camera in some other make and model of car that has nothing to do with anything; and/or
4. A few geniuses who tore out their power window motors and air conditioners will regurgetate some tripe about why a Corvette shouldn't have a backup camera.

The simple solution is as was posted earlier in this thread. Buy yourself an aftermarket NAV unit that supports backup camera feed, like the Kenwood unit and license plate frame camera.
This is exactly what I plan to do with my 2009. I purposely did not buy the NAV unit so I could save the $1800 and spend it on a Kenwood unit and additional goodies (speakers, camera, Ipod for storage).

I'm trying to find a a place to put a mini monitor so I can have a ft and rear camera, The place has to be just right so it wont look all jerry-rigged, so until then, it's on hold.

I saw this http://www.mitocorp.com/flash/gentex...lay-mirror.htm
but you would have to replace your mirror and loose onstar. Not a bad thing though, unless you use it.

Boyo VTL425 slim line camera over the top of my license plate frame and controlled with a Lockpick 360. Both installed yesterday. I need to tweak bright and other settings now with the remote control. It is AMAZING! And YES it IS displayed on the NAV screen.
