I'm not sure why people reply like the #2 reply did?
I use Meguiars and love it. Some on the forum like Zainos. Do a search on those two names, there are lots of posts.

Yes, Zaino is what you want. It takes a bit of work as it is a total "system" where different steps/products are required, but when you are done, the shine is just amazing along with how slippery the surface is. Zaino has a fantastic website that explains everything in detail and many great tips, no matter who's polish/wax you use. Zaino is a polish by the way and not a wax as such. Their website is www.zainostore.com
There are many great products out there, but Zaino is what I believe in for the Corvette. I had my doubts when I first ordered the stuff, but now I will never use anything else. And no, I am not with stupid!

2 buckets to wash (1 with soap/1 just water) and a quality sheepskin mitt. Quality microfiber towels to dry & a leaf blower to help. Any quality soap/wax/polish (Adam's,Zaino, or Meguiars). I suggest trying them for yourself as EVERYONE has their own favorites. Don't wash it in the sun and just be careful. I swore I would never own a Black car but actually it's not that bad and it looks AWESOME when it's clean. Now I don't think I would ever own another color. Do a search in the Car Care section too. There is a lot of good information there.

When black is clean and right you can't beat it, but when it is not it shows every little spot!
Happy driving, washing, and waxing!!!

I've used zaino and rejex and they both work well. Zaino has a specific polish for cars with dark finishes. They are both easy to use and the zaino website gives lots of instructions.

Put a clear bra on it right away. I wish I had done so on my black '99. Now I have a gazillion rocks pits all over the front to show for not having one put on.

I only buy black vehicles. Yes, they can be PIA to keep looking good but they're worth the effort.
I use Zaino on mine. It too can be a PIA but the results are far superior to any of the other products I've used.
I agree with MSC6 but I'll add one thing. NEVER wash or dry in circular motions. Always use back and forth, straight strokes. Doing this will eliminate the possibility swirl marks, which really show on a black car.
And for God's sake never take it through a car wash.
One more thing. Wash your wheels first and don't use the mitt, MF towels or that bucket of water on the rest of the car. I have a complete set of: bucket, mitt and towels that I only use on the wheels.

I use:
*standard car wash soap (WITHOUT wax)
*Absorber to dry it off (you can get these at Target or auto parts stores)
*Zaino ZFX mixed with Zaino Z2 (1-2 coats)
*Zaino Z6 spray to touch it up and get rid of any water spots

I have a Black C6 Coupe that I try to keep Show ready all the time.
I have used Zaino, Meguir's & Mother's. I think they all do a great job.
I do think that Zaino is pricey & a pain to have order & wait for it to come in the mail.
Mother's & Meguir's you can get just about everywhere whenever you want it.
Although I am also looking for the ultimate Product for Black.
