Default Painted My Hood Liner...PICS

I started by using black krylon paint to kinda "seal" the liner so it didn't take so many coats of the colors to paint it. I then used little bottles that you would use for touch-ups with the brush and started painting. After I thought it had some good coats I let it dry then put a few coats of clear acrylic on it. I think it turned out pretty good and is only step 1 of making mine stand out from others.

What do ya think?

Thanks guys. This really wasn't hard at all and only took about a day (I used many coats lol). I'm happy with how it came out.

I bought the Mid America Decal and it fell off in a day. got my money back though and it is now affixed to my garage wall. So, no harm done. picks look good. Good job, but I doubt I'd take the time to do that.

I'm sure you're not finished, its a good start. Obviously needs more work, but a good start.

Did you do it with it on? Is it easy/possible to take it off? I'd like to paint mine when I get it. Since I don't have it, I'm assuming it's held on with plastic clips, if so, do they break when you take them off?

I just think it would KILL my arms to do it with it on.

Looks good!!!

Did you use pipedreams instructions?

A little touch-up and you'd be done!

Yes remove it, its VERY easy to remove and re-install. Just 15 pins. you will break your back painting it still on the hood. But drape a sheet or blanket over the engine bay, because the pins sometimes pop off, and can get lost in your engine bay. You can use your fingers to pull them off, very easy, but its best with a second person so the liner doesn't get creased as you are removing it.
