Default Custom Painted Hood Liner? Help with Ideas Needed

I purchased a JSB 08 in February. I toyed with the idea of getting my hoodliner painted. I just got the best of both worlds....I purchased a (just like) new 08 hood liner off ebay for $20.

So, I would like to get it painted something very cool, yet unique.

If I don't like it or get tire of it, I can always put the original back in?

Any good ideas and/or pics?

Thanks.

Try emailing forum member Black2008. He did mine and helped come up with the design based on my ideas. His website is linked in my signature.

You can check out Paula's web gallery as well... lots of examples of Vette hoods that she has done:

man, Black2008's stuff blows Paula's away.
I had never seen his hoodliners before, but his airbrush work is really good

Figure the theme you want to follow for your car - colors, flames, whatever and incorporate that into your hoodliner. Have fun!!!

Your hood liner is Awesome.... do you mind me asking what something with that kind of detail might cost (arm, leg, first born)?

It would give me an idea if I want to pursue this right. So many mods I want to do, not enough $$$$.

I am sure you all understand.

Thanks.

It really depends on what you get done. Mine was expensive but I had to ship it from Kentucky amd they are a pain to ship. Give Steve Ray a call or email. He is in your neck of the woods. Owensboro, KY if I remember right.

Out of curiosity, how did you ship it? Package it yourself, professional packing or what? It would seem that it might be quite fragile and would have to have good packaging.

It does sort of look like it would be fragile if painted. Fortunately, the guy who sold it to me sent it in a good box, which looks like it was made for the liner.:o

It was Fedexed in a reinforced box. Cost about $110 to ship.
