O.K. here is the situation………..I bought my C6 while I was home on vacation last October, got to drive her a whole 2 weeks before it was time to head back to Baghdad. My beautiful bride of 22 years is back home taking care of my “Toy”; she takes it out every couple of weeks for a short drive, but for some reason she thinks that everyone is trying to race here just because she is in a Vette? So here is the question…how do I make her stop!!!!!

Well then I think I’m good, no worries there!! It took her 22 years to get me trained; I don’t think she wants to start that all over again!!
Thanks for all your comments, I just had to tease her a little……..she is actually a great driver. Just a little heavy on the foot, but hey……….after all it is a Vette!! Besides when I get home she knows she wont be driving it anymore!!

Take the car off the road when you are in Bagdad. No plates, no insurance, cover it up, and call it a day!!!

have someone call her and act like they are calling from onstar. tell her they are watching her driving habits and are on the verge of cancelling the warrenty, and reporting her to the leo's. If you dont have onstar come up with a lojack story or make up a computer sat link from the factory.

I think you're mistaken about a basic point here. She's not driving your Vette, she's driving HER Vette. You'll have to get your own when you get back.

Simple solution to your problem....when you go away...both FOB's come with you. There. Problem Solved. If you wife goes to buy a new one without your consent. It will be $300.
Also. People who street race will never stop...only thing that will stop them is a near death experience. It sucks but its true.

I would agree to her getting her own vette. I'm not a wife to anyone, but when I'm driving my vette I love to race when that time calls for it. Its about situation, placement. I wouldnt race someone in the middle of town.. common sense. I know when to and not to. Just sometimes you have to.. thats the joy in owning a vette. To drive it, and have fun.. not to let it sit in the garage. Thats just how i feel about owning any vehicle.
