Sorry, I was asking about the M6.

Rick T - thanks but actually I am looking for information on the stock shifter.

How it comes out and if anyone has any pictures, that would be great. I'm interested in seeing how the stock shifter and lever is put together.

It's pretty intuitive once you get the console off..

1) remove the rubber snap on cover
2) remove 4 10mm nuts and pull off the Sealing cover
3) remove 4 bolts holding the shifter down and just lift out..

So it looks like the shifter lever (or stick) is pressed on to the shifter stem rather than being bolted on, so then it (the stick) can't be removed...bummer...
