Are the '08s being hit with differential clutch chatter yet?

Got 1900 miles on mine and I noticed a small amount of chatter right off the bat. Only seems to occur when slowly starting off in first gear from a stop. Haven't noticed it when being a little more aggressive.
Is this the chatter you are talking about?

I think you are experiencing clutch chatter. I'm referring to the positraction clutch pack in the differential. Common on every year so far. It will grind and jerk while moving forward or backward in a slow turn, usually when cold.

Thanks for the clarification! I thought it was my clutch also. Not to thread hijack but is clutch chatter a common problem?
And no I have not noticed any differential chatter!

No chatter here in 1500 miles.

So bad in fact there should be a "drive for a cure" campaign put in place to raise awareness and funding. To wipe out Vette clunk & chatter in our life time, and give all posi-traction differential clutch packs the lubrication they so desperately need.
Has this happened to you:
Your out with your buddies and they're all complementing you on your stellar new vette. The discussion turns to someone who asks you to take em out to see how sweet the ride. You both get in and put it in reverse, turn the wheel to get out of the parking space. Then it happens, the embrassing groaning, clunking and chatter like an old 1914 Ford . Your mortified, and your buddy looks to you and says - "it's okay our secrect , best get that fix'd".
But you can't ...,
Will you help ?

Yes, and so did my 06. The 08 has 5500 miles now and it didn't start until 3500 miles or so. When cold and turning real tight it does it everytime. Guess I will have to take it to the dealer like the 06 and have the fluid changed. They ended up replacing my entire rear end in my 06 over this crap.

Wow, did not know this issue, but I only have mine for 1 month and 350miles. I will look out for it. Does the transmission went to Neutral (I assume this is for Manual tranny?)

Just give it time and it will show up in a certain percentage of 08's without a doubt. What I don't understand is why some vettes experience it while others don't. Mine didn't show up for almost a year on my 06. It's an easy fix by simply changing to Amsoil. That complete cured the problem at least for the past 9 months........

Apparently this has been happening on positraction equipped GM cars for decades. I don't think it's a major problem, more like a minor annoyance. I took mine to the dealer and they replaced the clutch packs about 7000 miles ago and the noise hasn't returned
