Default Event Code 4B00?

Sorry, I've done the searching, but could bot find the exact meaning of code 4B00. My dealer just called and said my event codes went today to 4150 (invoiced to dealer) as well as 4B00 at the same time.

Again, just trying to see what exactly this means. Some say it means it has passed inspection and is waiting a full truck for shipping, while others say it is being repaired or held for QC for some reason??

Any help is appreciated!!

Kris

Almost thought you were talking about ODB2 stuff!

Anyway here are the TPW codes that I am aware of, but 4B00 (4800?)means that it is waiting on actual transport with a 1 week to 1 month possible waiting period for delivery (I got that 4B00 off the web so I don't know it to be true!)

Order status codes:
1100 = Preliminary Order (Order passed GM edit tables but dealers has not received allocation to place order)
2000 = Accepted By GM (Dealer used allocation to place order into production)
2500 = Preferenced (Order pulled to the production system)
3000 = Accepted By Production Control (Order input into the production system)
3100 = Sequenced (Order sequenced for Production)
3300 = Scheduled For Production (Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle)***
3400 = Broadcast (Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together)
3800 = Produced (Order is built and VIN# shows in the Dealer Order system now)
4150 = Invoiced (Order is invoiced to the dealer)
4200 = Shipped (Vehicle is shipped to the dealer or point of delivery)
5000 = Delivered To Dealer
6000 = Delivered To Customer

I believe that that may mean the car has been bayed.

Talon90, Paul, any idea?

I sent Talon a PM, so he will get back to eventually. I'm just confused and so is my dealer. No one could tell me EXACTLY what it means.

Somebody call?

We see the term "bayed" used a couple of ways but they are not interchangeable. In this case the 4B00 is bayed for shipping. Meaning that it has been turned over to Allied. The key is that it has been invoiced to dealer (4150) and they won't do that until it is ready to be moved to the Allied lot. If it was "bayed" for QC or repair as can be the case the car would still be at 3800.

This is also referred to as "bayed" because it is moved in to one of the repair bays at the end of the assembly line. This is more appropriately held for QC.

You should be good to go.

After my order went to 4B00, the car was on my dealers lot the very next week. You live a few hundred miles closer to Bowling Green than I do, (and a much bigger town) so your car may just show up the first of next week. Congrats!

Quick question, when does the dealer know the event codes? Is it once a week or ever 2 weeks?

Thanks in advance!

Also what day is best to call them?

When I was going through the waiting period, I was told the codes are updated every Thursday night, which appeard to be true as the updates would show up on Friday in the dealers computer system. I asked my salesman to send me an email every Friday and he did. That way I did not have to bother him with calls if there were no updates.
