Default A Few Questions About AfterMarket Intakes

I plan on getting the Vararam w/ the TBS and have been just looking around and noticed how they have replacement parts for the accordian piece for C5's but I haven't seen anything for the C6. Or is it all the same. Also would the Granatelli MAF sensor be beneficial?
Thanks,
David

To my knowledge, nothing is made to replace the accordian tube yet. If you are getting the Vararam, buy the precut shroud too!

As for the MAF, I haven't really noticed any differences with it installed on my other cars...I'm sure some other members might have some more concrete evidence for you though

Granatelli MAF is of NO beneficial value to your performance. Do the Vararam with TBS and then get a ported throttle body. You will feel the night and day difference in throttle response.

I opened up my entire intake, ported TB, ported Intake and I opened up my MAF by removing the restrictive screen. The car just flatly performs no flat spots on accelerating.

Have read on this forum that you can buy the smooth type tubes from many sources, including on ebay, that will work just fine. Have also read that it will take you alot longer to install the precut shroud than just cutting your stock one. You can always buy a stock one from the dealer if you every want to put it back to stock.

What real power increase could you expect by replacing the accordion tube?
