Hey Guys,
After reading all the replies (over 100) to my question for the past couple of days, I have reversed my way of thinking.
Indeed, I have come to the conclusion that it is my 2005 Corvette that is too old for me. Time to trade it in for a younger one.

You guys are great.
Keep up the good job.
Thanks everyone.

Hmmm! I just got my C6 for Christmas, or a few days before! I'm 51. I feel 18 when I'm driving it. My wife looks 17 when she's sitting in the passenger seat and acts it later in the evening. I drove it to work the next day and parked it in the parking deck. A kid fresh out of college has a Boss Mustang and asked me not to park next to his car in the parking deck as it draws attention away from his car. The employees in my department have told me that they have had their pictures taken standing next to my Vette. Our company is participating in a "diversity study" and the PHD that was speaking to us a couple weeks ago was talking about generational issues and how many early baby boomers were just getting ready to enter a period of their lives where they may "suffer through" a mid-life crisis. "Mr Boss Mustang" asked if those aging baby boomers would do something silly like buying a Corvette. She responded with "Of Course they would and the bad thing is that they don't know they're suffering." Everyone looked at me and started laughing. I held up my arms and said "If you've got to suffer through ANY crisis, do it in Style in a CORVETTE." So, are we all suffering through a "mid-life crisis"? NO, we're just Living our Lives normally but we're living out every mans dream! That dream is to OWN a Vette.

I'm 56 also and after wanting a vette pretty much all of my life I finally did it last year a 06 LMB vert. So with that said I plan to drive it until I can't any more many, many years from now. Your as young as you feel.

Never too old! I only wished that I didn't wait till I was 40 to buy my first one.

As Charlton Heston would have said, "When they pry the steering wheel from my cold, dead hands".

This is a car, not an 18 year old female

I bought mine (7 months ago) at age 59.

Default mid life my #$$%%%

I am 53 and own my 5 and 6th corvettes right now. A c6z06 and a used world cup challenge race prepared c5 for lapping days and high speed events with our club. Bought my first vette at 24 right out of college and have have had every "C" series except a c1.

When I felt old was when I did not have one when the kids were in college. Out of college, bam, went right to a new z06. It has 9,000 miles on it in a little over a year, and It needs new rubber.

The people who are in crisis are the ones who don't have a vette, and dont have the cahonies to get one.

The question might be how young is too young for a Vette - seems a lot more like a car old guys have which has surprised me a lot since getting mine ... you really join the geezer crowd when you get a vette - it is not for the most part a car young guys get ... some of this is cost, some of it is they are viewed as old guy cars ... at 56 you would probably be in the younger 1/2 of all vette owners!

Default Never too old!

I bought my first one at 50 and never looked back. I'm 56 now and have two of them.

You're joking right? My wifes always commenting that she sees nothing but old guys in vettes. At 70 years old Don Garlits was still driving top fuel dragsters. Makes you feel young.

No age limit that I know of! I wonder the real reason you are asking.

I saw Zora Duntov driving his 1974 big block in 1986. He would have been about 77 years old and had the biggest smile on his face you have ever seen!!

So no, you are never too old to enjoy a car that you love to drive!!
