Why buy colored door handles when you can just.....
Why buy colored Match door handles when you can just take them off. At the Adams detail class today ,there was a Z06 there. He just took the handles off....it looked great, better than with the handle on...it is only 2 screws and looks alot cleaner than the painted or stock black handles. The Adams detail class was AWESOME

I bought an extra set . . painted `em myself and ended up putting them on only after a few weeks of no handles at all . . . I switch them between factory black . . .none . . .and body colored.
I think much of it depends on what color your car is . . .nice to have options - -even if I'm the only one that takes note of the change . .

I bought the colored ones. I went to put them on and thought how much better it looked without them. I then, put the colored ones on took some pictures and then, took them off and left them off. My doors won't get screwed up without them because the my 5 year old son is more picky than me and he warns anyone getting in. I think they look much better without any handles.

A Big “HELLO” from Forest Hill, Maryland
I never use the outside door handles to open the door. I keep my windows down, reach in and open the doors from the inside. Works for me.

Why not just remove the black factory pad and replace it with a piece of clear bra material cut to the shape and size of the original black pad??? Problem solved for cheap NO? You can even buy the stuff at Pep Boys on a roll. Frankly im surprised GM didn't do this in the first place.

Jeeeeeeeezzz, what a tough group. I removed the outer handles after seeing the "clean look" pics posted. What I liked about the handles in place was that when closing the doors from the outside, you have a spot to put your fingers on without leaving prints on the paint. Now, I have fingerprints on the door.
I guess I should have my lint free microfiber cloth sticking out of my back pocket, like the 21st century version of Goober on The Andy Griffith Show to take care of these prints, but I just can't seem to get as worked up as others over these issues.
