Too many posers in their look at me Corvettes. I have four cars and I have still managed to put 2500 miles on my 08. If you only drive your car an average of only 250 miles a month that is still 3000 miles a year. If you can't manage that then, in my opinion, you qualify as a poser and not a driver.

Does it really matter??? The fact is that we all enjoy Corvettes! Looking, driving, racing, or collecting them.

Life is great just knowing that you have one!

This post makes no sense. So, if you bought your Corvette only for yourself, drive it when you see fit, not care if you're out there everyday for the world to see, then you're a poser?

Ridiculous.

Just another judgment from a narcissistic owner who thinks he knows the one and only way to enjoy something.

BTW, I love the "Look at me, I have four cars blah blah". Now, who's a poser?

My '06 mn6 coupe is my first Corvette (I'm coming from many years of foreign car/sports car ownership) and I just can't get enough of it.

Bought it this May with 5,000 miles; it's now got 24,000. It's my DD and I wouldn't have it any other way!

How many of you have put 100,000 miles on a Vette?

That's kind of how I got the '62. Dad just prefered the size of his Impala vert.

If it weren't for them, there wouldn't be a fantastic supply of low milage pre-owned, late model Vettes to choose from. With the advent of GM's 5yr/100k warrenty, I'm done buying new.

Meeeeeee ! And the '07 is well on its way. Over 26,000 in 9 mos. Now the bike is a different story. My count road when it's wet bites big time.

It's not the driving them part that bothers me. It's the parking part. Where can you park that some friggin moron is parking right on top of you, dinging the doors or worst case damaging the car such as keying? (It has happened to several folks I know) Twice last year in Naples I saw parallel parked Vettes on the street get badly "bumped" by some nitwit who didn't know how to drive. So that said, it has come down to non stop joy rides for me.

I put 139,000 on my 79 coupe before I sold it. Now I'm working on getting many miles on my 97 coupe and 06 Z06. I've owned a 71 coupe and a 63 coupe in the past. I've owned a vette of some sort for about 38 years. I drive them to suit myself not anyone else. Everyone has their way of enjoying them and should enjoy the way they see fit, not how someone thinks they should.

So why take the chance everyday, no one looks at a corvette with scratches, paint faded and dirty as hell all the time and says...man nice car. I even like to keep my DD truck clean...so I keep my vette as spotless as I can so its ready to go shine on the nice days.
LOL, you should probably never leave the house then....afterall, you could be in an accident, fall down, get hurt, etc. I often see show cars with literally thousands of miles. Even show cars that double as track cars. Of course, to each their own.

With that said, my C6 is my third car and I've done two deployments with it so I'm pretty low on the miles, about 10,500 in 2.5 years. It seems most of its miles as of late is driving to and from the track. I've got 120+ passes on it now and would have more if miles if their were only a nice track with curves in the area. So when I run it, I drive it like it was meant to be driven.

1987 - 200,000+
2000 - 100,000+
2004 - 96,000+
2008 - Only about 1600, but I've only had it a couple of weeks

As long as they keep making new ones, I'll drive the heck out of them.

I'm not hating, just curious. I can't stay out of mine and its not my DD.
I put 4500 miles on mine in 5 months and I just drive it on the weekends.

Yeah -- But not in snow and ice. With those big tires you will just slip/slide away.

My question for those that drive their cars every chance they get. Why are you on the Corvette Forum and not on the road. You're missing another good chance to be driving your Vette. Please take this as a joke, I'm just poking fun. I realize you can't drive every minute of every day.

We have a new Murano for an everyday driver.Personally,I kind of like to keep the feel of the Vette special when I drive it and you start to lose that when you use it for a grocery-getter.

I've also got an 07 that's close to one year old. Not a daily driver and I've got 13K on it so far. These cars are born to be driven; get out and drive.
