I'm sure this has been done before.
Just curious about the overall ratings our C6 Corvette Forum members would assign their Premium Bose system.

Contrary to popular opinion here...I actually like the Bose system in my 06 coupe. I also actually like the XM setup as well. I have to admit that it did take a little effort to get the proper bass/treble/mid settings, but once I found the right one, it's almost perfect. I am however looking to upgrade the speakers...so far "Cyber Monday" has been a little disappointing in my speaker hunt. Anybody find any good deals?

A lot of time has transpired since the last polling. Two new model years have been introduced. There are now more C6 owners with a more diverse polling offering...Many more new members...
Besides, my poll questions are not biased in any direction.

I am getting used to the Bose Premium radio with Nav in my 08 Vert now. It sounds pretty good at most volumes. I like listening to the NPP exhaust w/Mild2Wild about equally. Maybe they could pipe the exhaust sound into the cabin through the Bose, now that would be sweet!

my ears are not what they were 40 years ago,so I think the system is ok.

Sounds crappy with the top up. Sounds alot better with the top down. I did however change out the paper twiddlers with Boston Acoustics.

Yep, same here. Tinnitus makes lots of things sound "ok."

That's why I also don't buy better speakers or my personal favorite $5,000.00 speaker cables!

I also have tinnitus in one ear maybe thats why I wasnt satisfied with bose. I went out and spent alot of money to get really good sound. Im glad I swapped it out but it was more than half the cost of a supercharger.Ill just have to wait a while longer for that.

Our Bose system has poor sound stage with the mono mixed rears and crappy speakers.

It's okay, but i added a JL Audio stealth sub to give it a little more umph.

And 40 years ago you didn't get much of an audio system in a car. The Bose sounds fine to me.

I think it's pretty bad (2005 coupe w/nav). Interestingly, not all Bose OEM systems suck, though. My wife has it in her 2006 Mazda 3 and it sounds quite good - way better than the system in my C6. I also had Bose in my 2003 Audi A6 and it sounded great. That suggests to me that a good share of the blame for how the C6's Bose system sounds lies with GM.

Not really a dissapointment, because it does come with a warning label. Says "Bose" right on the speakers. But it could be quite a shock if you listened without looking at the label first!
