Also in the 08 manual: "If you have the Z06 or Z51 performance package, lubricate the outer ends of both rear toe-links."

Looks like it's in the 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 manuals.

Yes, and it also looks like someone who knows all there is to know about Jet Stream Blue and loves to tell someone to read the manual, can't read the manual themselves.
BTW, I've read the maintenance instructions in all those manuals, and it does say lube those toe-links EVERY OTHER oil change.

You clearly have not read the manual and should take your own advice. As has been said, with Z51 it requires .5 quart more oil and a lube for the toe-links.

The same dealers that think vette tires need to be rotated? That routinely crack vettes on lifts? I still prefer to know myself what to tell the stealers to do

Well I take that risk. If the Dealer F**ks something up GM is totally responsible and can't blame me or someone else for doing something wrong. You must go to a Big Corvette Dealer for service, one that does lots of Vettes then you won't have the tire rotation and cracking problems.

Because I have the time and waiting to get my vert (just ordered), I've been pooring over the PDF version of the manual...
Indicated in the '08 manual at section 5, pg. 103
Capacities and Specifications
6.2 LV8 Engine w/extended oil cooler
(Doesn't mention Z51 - so ya gotta know you have the oil cooler)
Maintenance Footnotes Section 6, pg. 7
(b) ...Z06 or Z51 performance package, lubricate the outer ends of of both rear toe-links...
And from Rodney King - anyone remember him? Can't we all just get along?
Life is too short...

Plus I save a bunch of $ doing it myself in about 10 minutes. What's a dealer charge? I've heard reports of $100 oil changes..........makes me glad to know for $25-$30 it's done right. Very few people will treat a customer car like a carefull owner would, the less times I need to see the dealer the better.
