Default Greatest Nuvi mount is free

Yes its true, the best mount for your Garmin Nuvi series is free and all you need are a couple "around the home items"

The window and dash GPS mounts look really cheezy. Besides people are now looking for suction cup marks on the windshield. They smash your window looking for GPS or radar detectors.

Take a cap from a spray paint can (I used flat black to match the interior) and cut it about 1/4 inch shorter using a box cutter. This way you can slide the cup holder lid closed. Attach the suction cup mount to the lid (perfect fit!) and place it in either of the cup holders. It fits very snug, you can press the touch screen and it wont move. (if you want a tighter fit wrap the cap with black electrical tape)
Not only does the "Scotty Mount" look great it works great too! Easily removes or unsuction the cup and leave the cap in the cup holder.

TRIM ABOUT 1/4 INCH SO THE CUP HOLDER DOOR CLOSES WHEN NOT IN USE

"SCOTTY MOUNT" LOOKS GREAT AND DOESNT MOVE!

TURN TOWARDS YOU OR THE PASSENGER

Paint can tops have great uses. They hold right at 4 ounces of liquid. So if your 2-stroker needs 4 oz per gal, there you are!

Hey, if you are willing to spend a dollar or two more, for a full can of paint you can buy a top that will match (or almost match) your exterior color!

That really is a great idea but where do you and your passenger put your Big Gulps? I believe I have seen add on cup holders on some of the vendor sites.

Great idea. The sort of inventive thinking I used to see on the farm. Appreciate that kind of creativity.

The bride is planning on buying me the Nuvi 350 for Christmas, and I was wondering how/where I would mount it. Problem solved! Thanks - great tip.

Pretty cool idea but if my 660 were mounted that low I'd have a wreck while trying to look at it.

Great job though!
