That's disturbing for sure. Sure sounds like a fuel issue.
I'm curious about how much fuel your guage showed. C6s have saddle bag tanks. Were you about 1/2 full?
Sure was cool to have that Iphone to ask for input. Too bad nobody had an instant cure for you.
Do let us know what you learn!

I have no clue what it is, but seriously doubt it is the iPhone. I have one too and it doesn't affect anything (even my home cordless).
In fact, I use my iPhone with the CoastalETech adapter to listen to mp3 music in my C6. No problems.
My guess is the fuel pump or perhaps the fuel gauge and you're just out of gas.
Keep us posted.

I agree as he said he was at a stop light, it died and would not restart. FOB recognition shouldn't be a problem as it was running then it died. Even if it lost FOB recognition it should have continued to run until it was turned off. Fuel pump, however, seems the most likely suspect. There was an early 05 issue with the plug in the fuel pump harness not seating completely.

I sure HOPE it's not a common, '08 problemo! Hope it turns out to be something very minor. Good luck!

Another weird point. On-star ran a vehicle Diag, and it kept failing. The On-Star rep said he never saw that before.
If it was the fuel pump or low gas, shouldn't it attempt to Turnover? There was nothing but a series of clicks behind the Dash.
Car was built 10 days ago, I took delivery last Saturday. Pretty scary so far...

Very, very strange indeed. I'm wondering if one of the PCM connectors came off? Sure sorry to hear about the trouble and hope its something simple. Please let us all know when you find out so we can check out our own right away.

I left the parking lights on in my 1 week old 08 .. battery was almost dead.. went to start it and nothing but clicks from behind the passenger dash area... Charged it over night and all was well again.. I think these things need every bit of their battery power to work properly.. Good luck

not going to be fuel related because the starter should turn over, if the alternator is bad engine would run electronics off of battery, and the battery would finally run down enough to where the engine would fail, then the battery would show 12 volts with no load but when you try to start it and put a load on it it would drop volts and just click.

On a car I had once the alternator went bad and when the battery was drained the car would die. SO I say the alternator did it.
