Mine always goes back to 100%. Maybe you should quit putting in used oil that you get from the big open drum down at the quick lube!

Apparantly I have been putting that 99% oil in my car too, because that's what I get when resetting after an oil change.
The car must know how I drive, as it automatically deducts 1% right off the bat.

I think mine did the 99% once, no big deal. I change somewhere after it reaches 10%.

I think I remember someone saying that it depends on if you reset it when the cars running or not. One way it gets 99% the other it gets 100%.

Wouldn't it have to drop from 100% as soon as you start the car?

That makes (some) sense. I just thought the General saved a couple of pennies by foregoing the extra digit place.

Just changed the oil last weekend. With the engine off I pushed on the Acc button until the displays all came on. Then hit the reset button for a few seconds while displaying oil life remaining. I got 100%. It went down to 99% after maybe 20 miles.

Had my oil changed, started car and drove about 100 yards, stopped car, still running, reset and read 99%. Guess it's close enough to 100.

You scroll thru the DIC until you get to the oil reset and hold in reset for about 10 secs.
