I'm "Apache" a psycho dog
On the center dash clear of the defroster grills, have it on my C5 & 6 that way, never been stopped, they can clearly see it when coming towards me, eliminates them having to ask where it is should i be stopped.

Now the speeding on the other hand, no arguments there.

Melting Slicks
I will chime in here... even though I dont have a Z06 Yet.
I run my RX8 with no plate on the front
1) It makes my car look like it has a big white bucktooth
2) It *actually* would block my cold air intake behind the grill.
I've never had a ticket for it - but the worst "trouble" i got into for it was one night after have 2 yes TWO drinks at a bar. I leave, it's about midnight, i stop at light. Cop rolls by, busts a hard U and lights me up... I pull into a gas station after the light turns, keep in mind I am 6'1 and 200lbs. Two drinks in hour isnt going to do anything to me. First thing he rattles off about "Sir I smell alcohol, please step out of the car" - Oh **** -
Keep in mind I have never had to do anything like this, after 3 minutes of following a pen, and taking a breathalyzer he lets me go but I nearly **** myself from being so scared.
I still roll without a plate though

NFP for Me!
I have had a few cars with NFP. (Been stopped and ticketed in ALL also!)
I can personally attribute all tickets for no-plates to others things.
- tinted windows
- loud exhaust
- loud music
- Speeding
- KIC (kid in car,(me!))
I'm older and wiser now (I think)
- only KIC in car, (are my own)
- none of the others apply (mostly)

If they ticket you for anything else, they usually add the no front plate. It’s just a fix it ticket & has to be signed off by an officer. Have a truck without a front plate, had an 81 Vette for 12yrs without a plate & cited once with a speeding ticket. Front plate on a C6 is so UGLY

Safety Car
Hawaii requires front license plates and since I am a retired police officer, I run with front plates. Don't want to attract any unawanted attention then I am already getting.
