Default Dodge SRT-8 drivers what jerks

I'm heading home from work, moderate traffic, going speed limit, watching the person behind me, to make sure they're not ridding my ****, and following from a safe distance reference what I just said.

All of a sudden a SRT8 Charger drops behind me and starts riding my ****, I say to myself, I still brake better than he does and if I have to panic stop he's going to nail me. He then pulls beside me and pulls even and gases up and drops back then takes off like a bat out of hell through traffic cutting some poor dude off, and for what, at the next light I was only one car behind him. What a moron, that's the 3rd SRT8 driver that's pulled beside me wanting to race.

Unreal, don't believe in street racing, but don't they realize, they're slower than the C6 anyway,

They have 20 more HP or so over a stock LS2 C6. But according to my math, that does nothing to overcome the 800 extra pounds they carry.

It's no challenge. Let them keep their ego and go on their way.

I would not race him as I think street racing is irresponsible. Having said that... you say LEOs could be doing that? aren't they supposed to also obey the traffic laws? If that is true... a well documented incident could attract the 6 o'clock news interest...

I smoked a regular Hemi Charger in my former C5 a few years ago. I've never had the chance to race an SRT.

They are pretty quick though, especially considering they weigh in at 4100+lbs. 0-60 in 5 seconds, 1/4 mile in 13.5ish at around 105 MPH.

I had that happen to me one day a few years ago... Some guy's tailgating me on the way to work one dark raining morning... I accelerate hard from a stop sign, to create some space between us. Next thing I know this guy who's driving a unmarked car is flashing lights and pulling me over for speeding! I told him I couldn't tell he was a cop, all I could see is some guy riding my *** down the street in the rain! After he runs my plates, he gives me my D/L back and tells me to slow down!

They have 425hp in the 300 and the Charger, 420hp in the Jeep. Normally Dyno 370's to low 380's to the wheels with an auto, so many say they are underrated. I think the Charger and 300 weigh REAL close to 4200 or so, so it's closer to 1000 lbs. I've driven several, and they are quick machines. The Jeep will take almost any stock C6 to about 40-50 but then get passed rather quickly. AWD has it's benefits.....

The LEO's don't drive SRT's.....pretty easy to tell the difference.

Just the Jeep to 50, and ONLY because it has all wheel drive. You can throttle brake the crap out of them and they will launch hard with no wheelspin. But like I said, only off the launch. C6 will catch and pass every time. I've seen several bone stock timeslips from 300's and chargers in the high 12's. Jeeps's around 13 flat. They are pretty quick for their weight.
