DO NOT VALET (pics inside not for weak stomach)
So im staying over at a friends condo, where you can only valet park, to watch the Miami game. As we are leaving I go to retrieve my car from the valet and he tells me there was a small accident. He says someone hit my car while it was parked, so I go out to see my car and...
I ask to see the manager, and he comes out, basically he tells me the valet is lieing and it was the valet that hit my car on the wall, so im glad he as at least honest. He says he will take care of everything, I told him I still want to call the LEOs to write a report ( because I didnt know if I was gonna get the runaround from the manager too) So I call the LEOs and when we told them what the valet said, they said they have never seen a concrete car on the road lol. Anyway we call the kid (valet) over and questioned him once more, he stuck to his story but obviously was lieing. Anyway the manager was really cool, he drove me to the Hertz and rented me a car (paying for everything of course). I left the car at the Condo inside the parking garage and the manager is going to call a flatbed and take it to my bodyshop Monday. He said he will pay for everything and I just have to come pick it up when it is done. I will update when I recieve more info.

Wow- sorry something like this had to happen. While the manager seemed professional and all, did he say if the valet kid was going to be canned over the episode (including the lie?)-- I'm sure there's a wall nearby with lots of DSOM paint on it...

VERY sorry for your terrible experience. I will never allow anyone to drive the Vette! (except for my wife who seems to think she should... ) Hope you get it repaired quickly and without further trouble!!

good thing is they agreed to take care of it and didn't try to get out of having responsibility. Good luck getting it fixed.
by the way...LOVE that color. BEST color for the C6

Man, what a thing to come out to . I'm with everyone else here, no one other than the wife is going to drive the vette. No valet parking here. Hope they do you right.

I just barfed . Sorry, hate to see that happen to someones beautiful car. I would feel like the car will never be the same, no matter how good a job they do. Good luck.

I would rather park a couple of blocks away and call a cab before I hand my keys over to some kid to valet!

The manager did say the Valet will be canned, and judging by what I saw, there is no frame damage nor damage to the steering system, he hit is just right so that there is only body damage

Glad the manager owned up to it.
So far I have avoided valet parking. I always search around for someplace else. Good idea to drive the valet, and park yourself. If I ever end up where I'm forced into it, I'll give that a shot.
So sad to see that happen to your baby.

Sorry to see that. I hope it all works out for you. The only place have used valet parking had security cameras all over the place, and everything went fine.
Good luck with the repairs.

I don't think a cop can issue a ticket, since the parking lot is private property, at least that's what happened to me in a shopping center parking lot. However, he can make out a police report, just in case.
