I have a few questions, not sure if you can answer, but here goes....

Does the Halltech require any special cleaning product or "recharging"?

Does that air diverter that it can work in conjuction with [I think it was called the Corvette Air something] referenced in the ad require cutting into the car or is it a bolt on?

Does the air thingy funnel air (and H2O?) right to the filter or does it funnel it into the area below the filter?

thanks for your help!

Sure I can help....

As far as cleaning, usually every 20k miles you can either replace the filter or you can clean it. To clean, all you need is a K&N filter recharge kit. It can be picked up at any local Pep Boys or Auto Zone.

The Vette Air does require cutting of the black shroud, but has nothing to do with the Halltech. They are totally separate products and can bu used with or without one another. The Vette Air does help with getting fresh air to the filter, but do to the way it is installed, I cannot see it scooping up water unless the front end of the car has water up pas the front fascia...

Let me know if this helps or not...

Thanks,

Jim

I have a halltech stinger for my 06. Do you guys have any extra smooth couplings laying around? I have the stock accordian looking thing on mine and it looks awkward.

I have an LS3. How does the filtration capability of this halltech compare to the stock "shop towel looking" filter media. I have seen problems with turbo charged engines and folks using "k&n" stle filters. ie, they pass more air AND dirt under boost.

I would love to increas HP, but not at the expense of more dirt.

If you're sure you want a Halltech (personally, they're my top choice), it's going to come down to whether you get a Killer Bee for the Z06/2008 LS3, OR a Venom for your '05-'07 C6 non Z06. If you think it'd help, feel free to give us a call at 678-463-4739 and we'll be glad to talk it over with you.

Thanks,
Dave

ISO 5011 Certified. The only filter on the market for the Corvette with this certification. 8 layer cotton gauze vs. 4 layer for K&N

Halltech Venom Corvette Intake.

Thanks,

I'm curious about the hp increases stated on the website. I copied the description from your website. First it states 9-12 hp gains and then it states 14-16 RWHP gains. Can you explain why the 2 numbers are different? I'm confused. The information below this line is from the website...

Estimated HP increase is 9-12 HP over the stock airbox. Your Corvette intake and exhaust system are two of the easiest ways to add Horsepower to your Corvette. Don't skip on either one, get the best you can afford.

Installation Instructions are located here.

Free domestic shipping for a limited time.

14 to 16 RWHP
Killer Bee ISO 5011 Filter
Velocity Stack Flange
Smoothbore Silicone Connector Hose
15 minute Installation
Uses Stock Delphi MAF Sensor
Requires NO Reprogramming
Matches the LS7 Airflow
+3 RWHP vs. the C6 Stinger

Just a mistake.....

Should read 9-16hp....all depends on the dyno, environmental surroundings at the time of the run, and car....

Sorry,

Jim
