Pfadt Sways, Koni FSD's and GHL Exhaust - Pics and Vid
Thanks to the help of a couple of friends, I finally got around to installing my Pfadt Sways, Koni FSD schocks and GHL exhaust.
Pfadt Street Sways
The Pfadt sways were purchased from Chip at Custom Corvette Accessories and as usual, Chip was great to do business with. There was a bit of a delay from Pfadt in getting these in, but Chip kept me informed every step of the way, and in the end, it was well worth the wait. I didn't take any pics of the sways prior to installation but you can see a few pics here -> http://www.customcorvetteaccessories...tswaybars.html
The quality of these sways is second to none and they are worth every penny. Installation was pretty straight forward, the only real issue is getting the aluminum arms into the sways. It takes a little patience but the fit is top notch.
KONI FSD Shocks
I purchased the Koni FSD shocks from Shawn/Al at the LAPD and these shocks certainly live up to all the hype. Here is a link to The LAPD's website -> http://www.thelapd.com/Merchant2/mer...e_Code=thelapd
The guys at The LAPD really know their stuff and Al was very helpful and provided some great advice/tips regarding the installation. Again this was a pretty straight forward install and the results worth every penny. The shocks provide only a slightly firmer ride during normal driving but really come to life during some spirited driving. Often times, one has to sacrifice comfort for this type of handling but not with the Koni FSDs. One thing I will mention, which has been debated before, was whether or not the shocks will lower your car. I discussed this with Al and he provided a ton of technical info which unfortunately was lost on me. The only thing I gathered was that it had to do with tolerances of OEM equipment and that is why some cars do experience some lowering. I measured my car before and after, which had been lowered on stock bolts, and I measured a drop of 7/8 of an inch in the front after installation and settling. The rear remained virtually unchanged. With the additional drop, the car sat too low for me so I ended up raising the car about 1 1/2 turns in the front only.
GHL Exhaust
The GHL exhaust system was purchased from a forum member at a great price. Having had GHLs on my C5, I knew I couldn't go wrong. The sound is comparable to that on a C5 and to the Borla Stinger system on a C6. The only major issue some will find with this system as with the Borla is the drone. Although drone is subjective, there is no mistaking the drone on this system which is present around 1500-2000 rpm. It's not a big deal to me but for some it might. I know GHL does offer a system designed for the A6 that should eliminate the drone, so that is a good alternative and one I will consider if the drone does become an issue. Below are a few pics and video of the exhaust. The sound quality is not the best but it's all I got.
Sorry for the long thread but if you have any specific questions, let me know and I'll try to help.

You're Killin' Me!
Just when I had decided to go with the Flowmasters, you go and pull this on me.
Not I gotta save my pennies for a little longer to get the GHLs. They sound and look awesome.
Enjoy 'em.

Sorry about the ulcer. BTW, next time you're on vacation, don't call me to give me status on my order. It really wasn't necessary, although it was appreciated. As always, it was a pleasure doing business with you.
