This Is What Broken Rocker Panels Look Like
A few days ago I posted a rant about Courtesy Chevrolet breaking my rocker panels while improperly lifting my Vette. Apparently they drove it up on a ramp that was too steep, ripping off the rear jacking pucks which took some of the rockers with them. Then they lifted it directly on the rockers further finishing them off.
Here are some pix so you can share the joy I felt when I saw this. The body shop has to replace the driver's side rocker panel, as you can tell it is beyond fixable. It will be at least another week in the shop -
I only hope it looks right when they are done, or they will be keeping it even longer. Replacing the rocker panel means taking numerous other panels off and chiseling the damn thing off the frame! The other one looks like the glass can be fixed. Any comments on anything specific to look for when it's ready (hopefully the end of next week) are appreciated!
Thanks for the kind words to everyone on the original post!

Ripped off the jacking puck? What were the pucks doing on in the first place? Did they drive on the ramp on the lift or a different ramp? Did you put the pucks on? Do you leave them on permanently?

"In honor of jpee"
Jackasses is much too kind. As to the firing, well, I'd guess even at dealer cost, this has got to be a $2K-$4K fix of time and materials. Maybe I'm wrong. But it's coming out of someone's hide.
That is just beyond silly and ridiculous for a dealership in Chevrolets to do to a Corvette, or any car!!!

Who put the pucks on in the first place? Do you leave them on all the time? As a dealership I would hesitate in covering damages if you installed the pucks before the car was on the lift.
