Default New Console Lid Cover

Recently installed this cover. The choice I was given was Ebony on the top panel and Cashemere on the side panels. I asked for the Cashmere on the top panel and Ebony on the sides. As for me, I think it adds a little more class to the interior of my C6. If allowed I'll add who I got it from and at what price.

Wow, it looks like a factory piece... A perfect color/ stitch match! Too bad GM doesn't offer a lid like that... I guess they left that to the after market guys.

I have a solid colored lid similar to yours...

I'd really appreciate a PM with the vendor and cost info. Is it softer on your elbow than the OEM?

Looks great.

Does this replace the existing console door lid or somehow attach to it?
If it does attach to it, how?
Thanks,
Steve

I have the all ebony version of this console lid.

It has held up rather well and installed very easily.

Also matches my seats perfectly as if GM installed it.

To install you remove the lid and fit the cover over the lid. The package includes a two side adhesive strip that is attached to the lid and then you stretch the cover over the lid and press the material on the adhesive tape. You first remove the 4 Torx screws that attach the lid to the hinged bracket. Then you remove 7 Torx screws that attach the lid to the base of the lid. Installation of th elid with the cover is the reverse procedure. Easy installation.

It's cushioned so it is softer than the bare lid. Without this cushioned leather cover, the stock lid looks unfinished to me.

Anything would be softer than OEM!

Like the way your console matches the seats.

That compliments the existing interior very nicely. Good choice.
