Default Where are the best deals in Houston Texas?

Anyone know of a Chevy dealer in Houston that is making some deals on 07's?

I live in a small town in Louisiana, they had one 2007 and wanted sticker.

Thanks

Stay away from Landmark and Bill Turd, I mean Heard. Rip-off artists.

I've heard positive stories about Mac Haik but I haven't lived in Houston for almost 3 yrs.

Check out the forum dealers if you want the best prices around.

Westside will negotiate but you may have to walk out a time or two.

I think I recall Champion chevrolet offering 8K off of '07's in the newspaper this past weekend. I'd suggest calling all the big dealers in the Houston area and see who wants to get rid of their 07's the most. I know Allen Samuels has some '07's as well, but I'm not sure how much off. If you call Allen Samuels, ask for Bino Garcia. I ordered my '08 through him.

Depending on how much off these dealers are offering, it may be more worth it to order an 08. You can get a good deal on an 08 if you check around (invoice or GMS). I've seen the forum dealers offering to sell at GMS fairly frequently.

Good luck.

Don't know where you are in Louisiana but Hood Chevrolet in Covington, LA has 8 2007's and are at about $8k off sticker. Call them and ask for Daniel Neie. Tell him Greg sent you.

No matter what kind of deals you see in the paper from Landmark, or Bill Heard, don't believe it. It's a LIE I promise you.

The best deal is Houston, is in Springfield, Mo. at Reliable Chevy. I am getting an 08 at $800 below invoice. Why get an 07 when you can get an 08 for that price. And its just a little farther than Houston.

I checked out all of the forum dealers, and they definitely do not have the best prices.

Interesting, lots of members claim to get excellent deals from the forum dealers. I can't speak from experience because I bought my 07 locally.

Have you checked out any of the Dallas dealers like Young Chevrolet? They've had a few ads in the paper this past weekend with some good prices. Not much further than Houston. Sorry I can't post any content, forum rules, but check them out. Good luck.

I checked everywhere, I also checked Young in Dallas. Couldn't touch Reliable. Dont get me wrong, the forum dealers were good guys to talk to, but they just werent willing to sell the car for what Reliable was. When I buy a car, it is a long process. When I bought my 07 Z, I bought it last November when dealers were still jacking prices up. I did research, called tons of dealers, and actually got it for 600 below sticker. From Bill Heard in Houston. But Bill Heard cant touch Reliable on the 08 either. ANd believe it or not, Maxie Price quoted me $1,000 over invoice. That is in line with some of the forum dealers and better than some of them

There's at least one forum dealer from Louisiana, isn't there? Why not try that out before you go to Houston?

There are no good dealers in Houston, just some who will rip you off less than others if you work on them awhile. I can instead recommend Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX, near DFW, who gave me an outstanding deal with zero BS.

I agree. I also live in Houston and have purchased two C6's. I went to Dallas both times. I have found Houston Chevy dealers unwilling to offer a decent price.

There are deals to be had in Houston. I think a lot of people just pick up the phone, or walk in and ask for a price and assume that's the best deal. It's always easier for an out of town dealer to shoot a hot price out to try to steal a sale from out of his area.

You just have to negotiate. Trust me, the deals are there, and at more than one dealership.

Thumbs down for Lone Star Chevrolet. Like some others, I would also suggest Ross Downing in Hammond, Louisiana.

None of the dealers in Houston would accept my Supplier Discount. Purchased through Rick Daniels @ Les Stanford Chevrolet. My only regret was not taking the Museum delivery. Had a bad experience with the with the courtesy dealer here in Houston.

Mac Haik refused to accept my GMS number, but instead sold me a ordered C6 at what ended up the same. The original price they quoted was less than GMS but when it arrived they add ADV which netted out the same.

Go figure,,,
