They did. DBGM (Dark Bowling Green Metalic). I wish they would put that on a C6.

I don't know about it being a chick color, but it is too light for my taste. I like Lemans Blue much better.

Yea, that says alot about demand. Especially when they are hard to find in the aftermarket and when they come up they go for more money.
Yes, it was lack of demand. Very well documented, if you look around. I had mine when the change happened and the supporting dealers all said it was a very poor seller, so GM decided to drop it.
Don't know why it is a hot commodity now, but I am not complaining

Yes, lack of dealers ordering them for the showroom, that doesn't mean a lack of demand, just means stupid dealers.

Isn't any blue reserved for mini-vans and Honda sedans?

Can't please all the people all the time boys!

Corvettes look good in any color IMHO....except pink of course.

They should have kept or went slightly lighter than LeMans Blue. I haven't really seen the new Blue, but if it has a hint of Purple in it that's horrible!

They were nuts when they replaced Electron Blue with LeMans Blue. There is just no figuring on GM's logic.

Here is a pic of the new blue. I think its awesome. In fact I am seriously considering trading in my 03 Electron Blue Z06 for one.

I can't say if I like this new blue or not.
It's hard to tell in the picture what it would like like in person.
It seems lighter then Electron Blue - which would diminish the sparkle of the metallic flakes in the paint.
If I had to give an opinion based solely on the picture, I would say that it does not look good on the C6.
My LMB and the Electron Blue both look good in person and in pictures.
Hoping that my opinion changes when I see this color live.

I think time will do it justice. It was always a nice color in previous years. I did see a Solstice yesterday in a dark green metalic and the first thing I thought of was how good that would look on a C6.

My girlfriend's first reaction to it was "Barbie car".

Enough said.

I agree, Electron Blue is my favorite Vette color. Its hard for me to call a car with 430 hp a Barbie car though. And I definitely wouldn't call this beast a Barbie car.

I guess I agree with you there. I have an 02 Electron Blue Z06....While I like it better than the LeMans Blue, I'm glad they changed it because I didn't want two of the exact same color cars. Blue is my favorite color obviously. I still think the LeMans looks awesome in person, not quite as nice as the Electron but very nice.

This is the first real picture I've seen of this color. I'll have to see it in person, I hated LeMans Blue at first in the pictures but in person was a different story. I now own and love it. I do think this Gulf Stream Blue looks good in the picture, I really do. I can't wait to see it in person.

LMB was a waste. It's so dark, it might as well be black. It appears that just about every LMB pic posted was taken in direct sunlight on a cloudless day.

I'm glad to see GM is getting with the program and coming out with brighter colors for the Vette.
I totaly
