All I can say is - interesting. Since I have no insider knowledge of what GM is planning I can't summarily reject what was written.
If true the next generation vette will share a lot of the C6's chiseled good looks into the future and that's not a bad thing.

I'm not sure I'm in love with it either at first look..the front end is pretty cool, questionable on the back end. If this is in fact the C7, it's going to have to grow on people for some time. It certainly takes a big step into the more "exotic sports car" direction..and I think that this what they want for more world wide appeal.
Interesting to see what happens.

FWIW,at the 2006 Bash in BG, amongst all the rain, I had the opportunity to spend three hours in a tent with a couple of Corvette engineers from Detroit. After all the conversations, they confessed that a mid-motored setup was being considered for a future car, but definitely not the C7. They also eluded that it would be an AWD car.

It does have a little Caddy XLR flavor to it. They are made in the same plant. The rear end is very evident of XLR and the front end is all C6??? If this is the new C7, I would be disappointed.

This concept looks realistic to me for the C7. I personally really like it and to me it looks like the natural evolution of this brand.
Can do with a stronger looking booty though. Traditionally Corvettes of the last few generations to me, have had very prominent rear ends with the lights and all. On this concept, the lights should be much larger and we have a winner here.
My C6 is my first Corvette. When I saw the C6 for the first time I knew I had to have one. The C7 looks like it will be another MUST HAVE.
